Energy Level: I'm a six month old puppa, I love play, walks, and lots of naps!
House trained? Yes!

Kids? I like kids, I havnt lived with any yet but I think older kids could be cool

Cats? Dogs? I have spent time in a foster home with a cat! So depending on the cat, likely with separation and supervision at first! I REALLY like other dogs and have a foster bros, big dogs/ small dogs/ all sorts! I'm down, as long as they like puppies and playing and my new family can manage us both.

Medical Needs: I've had my DA2PP vaccines and am neutered and up to date with dewormer and flea treatments as standard at the shelter. Moving forward - yearly boosters and checkups!

About Me:

Hi I'm Bourbon! I'm the last of my litter at WAG (remember my mom Brandy? My siblings were the 'Holiday Drinks Litter' - Frangelico, Whiskey, Rum, Eggnog and Kahlua!) and I am STILL waiting for my forever family to come and find me and bring me home!

Hi I'm Bourbon! I arrived at at WAG in December 2023 along with my mom and my 5 siblings. Everyone but me has been adopted now, and no-one can understand why! Luckily I have been fostered by a kind hearted local dog trainer who has taught me TONS of useful skills and prepared me well for my new home. I am very friendly, smart, cuddly, playful and fun, they say I'd make the best addition to a family looking to add another member. I've been in the care of WAG for over 135 days! This doesn't make sense as I am such an adoptable puppy, I guess the litter of 12 younger puppies over shadowed me....well I hope it will finally be my turn soon! Paws crossed!

If you are interested in adoption, the first step is always to fill in an application form via their profiles on our website and a member of staff will be in touch to chat as soon as they are able. www.whistlerwag.com/bourbon/

My Perfect Match:

-Is willing to take a trip or two to WAG to get to know me before taking me home. I am still adjusting to life around here and everything is new to me.

- A family with patience who love sweet, gentle young dogs who are keen to be your shadow.

- Understanding that I have had HUGE changes in my life recently and to give me the time I need to settle in and relax after my adoption. Especially if I am to live with other dogs or younger humans. I am new to car rides, being inside and going for leashed walks!

- Be proactive with my training, using a WAG approved trainer that will help me learn new skills and give me the best set up for success.

- Having a safe & secured yard would be a bonus. If not - not problem but being okay with using a long line to allow freedom whilst keeping me safe.

- Will take me for annual vet checkups and be proactive with my health.

My Story:

WAG was contacted when my first guardians were no longer able to take care of my mom Brandy, and her unexpected litter of pups. We were brought to WAG and got the help we so urgently needed and homes of our own!

If you can't adopt me at this time, please consider donating towards our care and others like us who need help the most. Litters of puppies are adorable, but tend to require a lot of resources and can have long stays at WAG whilst waiting for their loving homes. Shelters across the Province are currently overstretched, please be responsible by spaying and neutering your pets to do you part in preventing unexpected litters locally.

NOTE: If you require assistance in spaying or neutering your own current pets, please contact WAG to find out more about our FANS program (financial assistance for neuters and spays).
