Mallory Jensen

About Mallory

Growing up between British Columbia, Alberta, and the Northwest Territories, Vancouver was home for most of it. Six years ago Mallory moved to Whistler on a whim and hasn’t found a good enough reason to leave since. Volunteering at the local animal shelter WAG Mallory found a love of helping animals, she is now employed at WAG, the place that sparked the fire. Mallory is excited to explore all avenues of animal welfare, she is pet first aid certified and currently enrolled in Karen Pryor clicker training course. She adopted her first pet, Stardust. Stardust came into WAG through our wellness clinic's, Mallory decided to foster her, where she became friends with the resident cat Cheeto, and then chose to adopt!

In her free time she enjoys being outside, though you won’t find her hitting the slopes in the winter, she lives for the mountain summers. Swimming, hiking, dog walking, gardening, biking, fishing, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful natural scenery.

About Kendall

Kendall grew up in Whistler and always dreamed of working at WAG. After completing her Veterinary Assistant Program in Kelowna she moved back to Whistler and began volunteering at WAG. Nearly two years ago she went from volunteer to staff member and hasn't looked back since. She loves all the animals that come to WAG but has enjoyed creating special bonds and working to enrich the lives of the long term animals. She enjoys the new challenges that every day brings and looks forward to helping more animals in the future!

Martha Oliver

About Martha

Martha has been living in Whistler for four years now, initially arriving to travel BC, falling in love with Whistler, and never leaving! Originally from the UK, she grew up with lots of different pets and was an animal advocate from a young age. Martha started volunteering at WAG during Winter 2019, gradually spending more and more time with the animals until she was offered a job a year later. Martha loves the pace and possibilities of each day working as part of the shelter team, catering to a wide variety of animal needs and building relationships within the community. To develop her skill set, Martha has completed courses such as the Karen Pryor Shelter Enrichment Course and the Fear Free Shelters qualification.

Martha looks forward to more community involvement, education and events happening in Whistler again! Martha loves living in this beautiful town by the mountains and of course, aims to make the most of the adventures that come with the seasons. She would love adopt a pet of her own from WAG one day!

Anna Scott

Animal Welfare Technician

About Anna

Anna grew up between Vancouver Island and Whistler. She grew up around cats, dogs, bunnies and horses. She spent most of her highschool years as a competitive horseback rider, working with many animals at the barn. Her love of snowboarding brought her to Pemberton right out of highschool, where she has been for the last ten years. Anna adopted her dog Tuck from wag seven years ago, and that is where her eyes were opened to the world of reactive dogs. She started volunteering at PAWS Pemberton in 2016, where she quickly took on the roll as adoptions coordinator. Her experience with her own reactive dog pushed her to educate herself more, and open her own dog walking business specializing in helping reactive dogs. She took over as executive director at PAWS in 2019, and when an opportunity came up to join the team at WAG part time, she jumped on it! In her spare time Anna enjoys riding her horses, hiking with her dog, hanging out with her two rescue cats, and fishing.
