About Me:

Hi, I'm Xena!

I have only just arrived to WAG, but since I've had a loving home all my life, the staff wanted to make sure I was as comfortable as I could be, they found me a foster family.
I have only been with my foster family for a few days, but so far I have been loving it and have been told I am a very good girl.
My foster mom made some notes and wanted to pass them along, keep an eye on my profile, as WAG gets to know me better and I get a chance to go to the vet, my needs in a forever home may change.
Xena is a big sweetheart. She always wants to be with you and loves head scratches. She is good in a car and likes to run errands with her foster parent. She always gets shot gun and sometimes needs a little extra help getting into the car! She likes walks on the sidewalk and also likes to venture into the woods. She gets a good trot going and will let you know when shes tired and ready to go home. Her foster parent has a cat and she is very respectful as long as the cat is also respectful. She likes dogs but if they get to wild around her she will tell them to back up with a little snarl.  Xena has weak and stiff back legs and has started taking glucosamine. A healthy diet and paced exercise will be life changing for Xena.
My Perfect Match:
 - Will be financially prepared for taking on a senior pet that may need some vet check-ups
- A loving family that will be respectful of my slowing down, but keep me active
- Will provide me with endless cuddles and treats
- Will love me forever no matter what

My Story:

I had a family that kept me safe and loved for 12 years. Due to unforeseen circumstances, my owner became very sick and realized she was no longer able to care for me. She made the heartbreaking decision to surrender me to WAG in hopes that I'll find a new family that will love me as much as my previous one did.

If you are unable to adopt at this time, please consider donating to WAG so we can continue to help animals like Xena.
