Shelter Volunteers
Shelter Volunteers are crucial to enriching the daily lives of the animals under our care. Working closely with our staff, volunteers gain insights into general animal behavior and the specific requirements of our current residents. To ensure effective communication and provide the best chance for the progression of our animals through rehabilitation and training plans, we require shelter volunteers to be dedicated, long-term residents of our community. This commitment fosters an optimal environment for collaboration between staff and volunteers.
Commitment
To provide the best experience for both volunteers and animals, a consistent commitment is necessary to remain active as a Shelter Volunteer. The minimum requirement is 1 hour per week for six months, but many of our volunteers choose to work with us for several years.
Rewards
Volunteering your time and energy with a non-profit is a wonderful way to give back and connect with your community. Watching our special animals learn and grow over time is incredibly rewarding, and the bonds you form with them will be impactful for both you and them. Additionally, volunteering offers the opportunity to make friends and connections with others who share a passion for the well-being of animals.

Transport drivers
We work closely with various veterinarians in Whistler, Squamish, and Pemberton to ensure the well-being of our animals, and they need assistance with transportation to and from appointments. If you're interested in contributing to this essential task, please contact us, and we'll gladly add you to our list of volunteer drivers!
