Reba is starting to heal!

January 14th, 2015

When Reba first arrived at WAG she was very sore and tired…

The thick scab is starting to peel around the edges, but her poor nose is still raw and sore. She is getting very itchy!

Stitches are out and look at all that new pink skin! She even has little baby black hairs starting to grow back. We are still waiting on the results of her check up on Friday which will let us know how her jaw is healing. She has more energy than ever… Way to go Reba!

More litte baby hairs coming in! She is also able to close her jaw more, and has begun barking when people arrive at the shelter. She is also starting to go on walks and feeling much more energetic…

Reba is doing amazing! She can completely close her jaw now and the pink, raw skin is starting to turn back to black and more baby hairs grow in every day…

She is still itchy and the last scabs are almost ready to come off, and hopefully soon, her cone!

Reba, now Layla, stopped by the shelter for a visit with her new dad! Her injuries have healed beautifully and she is almost completely recovered. She is absolutely in love with her new daddy and shows him off wherever they go.
