About Me:
Hi I’m Isla! Not much is known about my past as I came to WAG as a stray. Since arriving at the shelter the staff noticed that I was quite itchy and kept tilting my head, so started off by treating me to a lovely bath and not so lovely dewormer and anti-flea treatment. I was taken to the Vet Clinic and given a full once over, luckily they said I was generally doing ok but I was suffering from a yeast infection in my ears. I’m on a course of ear drops to sort that out and I should be feeling much better soon as it must be quite painful!
I’m not allowed to hang out with all the other puppies at WAG yet, as I am in isolation as standard to keep everyone who lives here safe. BUT I am enjoying spending time getting to know the humans at WAG and am practising wearing a harness and leash for exploring. I am an adorable pup, who loves human cuddles and company, but I am also a tiny dinosaur who is learning that toys are for chewing and not fingers! So, pretty much like all the other puppies in that regard.
I have had a challenging start to life with some big changes so some stability and routine is what I am looking for. Lots of things are clearly new to me, I will need home with a family ready to give a chance to a deserving young girl who is in a really important stage of puppyhood! Helping me to gain confidence in the world around me with lots of positive experiences and moving at my own pace is crucial! Puppy classes with some basic training with a WAG-approved positive reinforcement trainer would be beneficial while I learn new skills and transition into my new life. APPLY FOR ISLA!

My Story:
I came to WAG as a stray and given the Vetinary health care that I needed including vaccines, dewormer and flea treatments. I was found to be in some pain with sore ears and am being treated with some ear drops for an ear infection. I am now working on getting healthy and finding my forever family who will keep me safe for the rest of my life.
