About Me:

Hi I’m Buddy!

I came from a very loving home, where a very unfortunate situation forced me to be surrendered to WAG. I am absolutely heartbroken to be away from my family.

I love when I see my friends, I get really happy and come right up to you to get a treat or a pat!

Sometimes when we’re out in the yard, I crave affection way more than playing with toys.

I can be a little nervous around people that I don’t know, but take it slow, and I warm right up to you!

I love to ride in the car, and do well with other dogs! I have been around children in the past and have been great.

I am happy to see people and am learning to enjoy wearing a harness to go out on walks, but at the same time can also be very nervous. I will thrive in a calm, nurturing environment with people that will pay attention to any signs of anxiety I may show.

In my past home I lived with 2 other dogs, Carla being one. I am very fresh to the shelter so staff are letting me settle before beginning any dog introductions around the shelter.

I’m being very polite while living at the shelter, but I’d much prefer a loving home that will spend time with me.

I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and adventure for the rest of my years. A little bit of training with my new family would also be beneficial to all of us. I can’t wait to find my forever home.

My Perfect Match: -Is willing to take a few trips to WAG to get to know me before taking me home. I am fearful of strangers when I first meet them. – A family with patience – Understanding that a lot of things are new to me, I may need time to adjust to my new surrounding – Be proactive with my training, using a WAG approved trainer that will help me gain confidence and give my family the tools they will need when I come across something that is scary to me -Having a safe & secured yard would be a bonus for morning zoomies! If not, being okay with using a long line to allow freedom but keep me safe. -Will love me forever no matter what, quirks and all! APPLY FOR BUDDY!
