About Me:

I’m a young girl who has recently found myself at WAG, along with my bestie Phil. We are both estimated to be under a year old and are sweet, playful pups although I am a little more timid than him. Not much is known about my life prior to WAG but its clear that I love treats, toys and cuddling! I’ve been told that I’m a super smart gal and have already learned how to sit, down, paw, high-five, touch and off.

Physical touch is definitely my love language, so if you’re a hugger like me we’ll get along great. A lot of things are still new to me so I can be shy around new people, city noise and busy areas. With encouragement and in a familiar safe space, I warm up to new friends quickly and love to play with other pups – I even do a nice play bow first to check if it’s ok! I am up to date with my vaccines and am super brave when it comes to receiving vet treatments – As long as you give me peanut butter, of course. I have also recently been spayed, thanks to the help of my friends at Eagleview Vet, so all that’s left is to find a home where I can start my new life!

I’m a real gentle, sweetheart and have made lots of friends at the shelter already. I am learning to trust and can’t wait for someone to come along looking for someone like me, a sensitive soul ready to complete your family. I’d love a home where the humans have lots of time for me, to play, learn, adore me and keep me safe whilst moving at my pace. If you think we’d be a great fit, please scroll down and fill out an application form today!

Please keep an eye on my profile for updates as the staff get to know me better…..

I am looking for someone...
  • -Is willing to take a trip or two to WAG to get to know me before taking me home. I’m shy at first but I will soon learn to trust you.

  • A family with patience who love silly, sensitive, sweet young dogs!

  • Understanding that I have had HUGE changes in my life recently and to give me the time I need to settle in and relax after my adoption. Especially if I am to live with other dogs or littler humans.

  • Be proactive with my training, using a WAG approved trainer that will help me learn new skills and give me the best set up for success.

  • Having a safe & secured yard would be a bonus for morning zoomies and play sessions. If not, being okay with using a long line to allow freedom but keep me safe.

  • Will take me for annual vet checkups and be proactive with my health.

My Story:

Phil and Lil are two resilient souls who faced the bitter cold during a recent snap with temperatures plummeting below -20°C. Abandoned and left alone, these brave companions had already weathered nights outdoors, and may not have made it through another. A concerned citizen, recognizing the urgency of their situation, reached out to WAG.

Thanks to this community member and the swift response of the WAG Team, Phil and Lil were rescued from the freezing cold and brought into the warmth of the WAG shelter.

Now, these survivors have a chance for a brighter future. They are receiving care, warmth, and a safe space to rest and are now available for adoption into loving homes of their own. It’s a testament to their resilience and the crucial role that community support plays in saving lives.

If you are not currently in a position to adopt, please consider making a donation to WAG to help Phil, Lil and other doggos in need. Your donations make a difference in providing care, shelter, and hope for animals facing adversity and helps them in their journey to their individual future adoptions.
