A Shelter Full of Hope and Promise

Leo and Pumpkin – Adopted January 2017

Leo and Pumpkin were surrendered to WAG for the second time and they definitely weren’t happy about it. They both have a lot of love to give but really struggled to trust humans. Leo was a lot more outgoing than Pumpkin, as he started to feel more comfortable he would come out for some chin scratches, however Pumpkin was quite shy and didn’t like to venture out too much. They have spent most of their lives together so finding a home for both of them was a must! It was a bit of a challenge, but after 78 days in the shelter they found their purr-fect match!

Since being in their forever home, they have both come out of their shell and are absolutely thriving! They are enjoying sleeping by the warm fire and snuggling up on the couch together. All they needed was a patient and loving home to help them gain trust for humans again.

Leo and Pumpkin are doing great and we are having a blast with these two! Leo (the horse) is such a curious George and a very nice cat. He lets you know when he’s cranky but is quite gentle. He gets a little frisky with pumpkin from time to time and Pumpkin tunes him a bit!

They chase each other all over the house, snuggle together in the chair, love the fireplace and love bed time! Leo especially loves bed time and let’s us know when it’s time. He starts to chatter more and paces by the stairs. We are really enjoying their company and seems that they are too! 🙂

Pumpkin is really coming out of her shell and is exploring the whole house and follows/ chases Leo everywhere….can’t believe the change in her already since bringing her home! They are up on all furniture and love the water fountain and running tap water.

Both are chatty and snuggle in the night/ morning. Really happy to be able to give them a good home and “wings” to fly.
