My story:

Hi, I'm Meg....

My family and I arrived at WAG when we urgently needed somewhere to go during the recent extreme cold weather. We were an accidental litter, and although still young herself our mom did an incredible job of raising us and keeping us safe until we got here. We certainly are brave little women who have conquered our first big challenge - surviving living in the cold outdoors and are ready for whats next. My three sisters and I are the sweetest, fluffiest puppies around, and we are now beginning our search to each find forever families of our own! We had our first vet appointment at 8 weeks old, we did really well and were healthy enough to have our first vaccines and parasite treatments. Our bellies were distended and sore but overall we are all feeling much better physically and in our mindsets. We were quite shy at first but have gained confidence each day, some of us more than others. We have taken to life indoors promptly and are curious of what is going on around us, we love all the humans we have met so far, including little ones. We can't wait to find out what else the world has to offer us, and hope we can find loving families to show us very soon. You can read more about our individual personalities below, but of course the staff are still getting to know us all and what our individual needs or preferences might be to help us thrive!

A few words about each of us:

"Meg - the smallest of the crew, quiet but affectionate, calmer that the rest.... but don't let her fool you, she is a tough cookie!

Beth - the most confident from the start, one of the larger gals who is keen to meet new people and try out new things first, with the waggiest tail. Will do anything for a belly rub!

Jo - currently the chonkiest of the litter, does love her food, keen to say hi and initiate party time with the others, loves her food and zooming around the yard!

Amy - initially the shyest, preferring to watch and learn from her siblings, always down for cuddles with the humans after a play sesh!"

Are you ready to give one of us the WHOLE package - endless love, positive & considered socialisation experiences, training using positive reinforcement methods, high quality nutrition, vet care as required, and all that puppies need as they grow into dogs? Remember - adopting a puppy is a huge commitment and these next few weeks and months of their lives are critical in puppy development and socialisation.

If you're ready to offer a warm and supportive environment to a young and playful puppy like me, please consider filling out an adoption application today.

NOTE: Sure, litters of puppies are adorable but tend to require a lot of resources and can end up spending a long time at WAG whilst waiting for their forever homes. Please help us and other shelters across the province who are also overstretched by spaying and neutering your companion animals to do your part. WAG is here to assist our community but we only have so much space, resources, fosters and even adopters! Please help us to be able to say 'yes' to the cases who need us the most.

If you require assistance in spaying or neutering your own current four legged pals - please contact WAG to find out more about our FANS program (financial assistance for neuters and spays).

My perfect home:

  • Able to provide a calm, nurturing environment with people that will pay attention to my  body language to understand how I feel

  • Is ready for the 10+ year commitment

  • Loves everything puppy

  • Will continue with basic training, I will need a post-adoption training appointment or Puppy classes with a WAG approved trainer

  • Lots of patience!

  • Will use food as a motivator

  • Will love me forever no matter what, quirks and all!

  • I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and adventure for the rest of my years.

  • Will provide me with vet care with annual checkups, vaccine boosters and anything else I might need
