My story:

Hi, I'm Bull!

I arrived at WAG a few days before Christmas after waiting on WAG's waitlist for my turn to come into care. My first family love me very much but due to no fault of my own I need to find a new place to call home and start my next adventure. I am around 1-2 years old, the sweetest young guy who just wants non stop cuddles and a warm place to lay my head. I'm new around here so we are all still getting to know each other but everyone who has met me so far is already in love and I am happy to recriprocate. I have just had my first DA2PP vaccine so will need my booster in a month and have had my vet check up and flea/ deworming treatment. I was super brave and the vet adored me too, well who wouldn't? I weight 26kg and will likely put on some weight as I settle in, I am already neutered as this was done by our partner vet earlier this year as part of WAGS FANS program whilst I was waiting to become part of the shelter family. I have started going on walks with the staff and volleys, I seem to be getting used to my harness and leash quickly but it is early days and I am starting to learn my new routine. I love to play in the snow and can't wait to meet some of the other shelter residents and make some doggo friends. On walks I am understandably nervous of all the cars, buses and trucks passing by, its much busier around the shelter than I have been used to previously but I am keen to learn and look to my human friends for reassurance and confident to be brave and try new things.

Keep an eye on my profile for updates as the staff learm more about my likes, dislikes and what kind of home would be ideal for me, but if you are looking to add a guy like me to your home then go ahead and start the process by filling out an application to adopt today.....

My perfect home:

  • A family with patience who love shy, sweet cuddly young dogs who need some extra support, able to provide me with a safe space.

  • Is ready for the 10+ year commitment.

  • Understanding that I have had HUGE changes in my life recently. I am new to living indoors, wearing a harness/ leash, going in cars and more! I will need you to give me the time I need to settle in and relax after my adoption, whilst you help me gain confidence.

  • Will understand canine body language (or is willing to learn) and will listen to my communication when I am unsure of new things, and go at my own pace as I settle into my new surroundings.

  • Be proactive with my training, using a local WAG approved trainer that will help me learn transition and give me the best set up for success.

  • Having a safe & secured yard would be a bonus for ball play sessions! If not, being okay with using a long line to allow plenty of freedom but keep me safe as I settle in.

  • Will take me for regular vet checkups and be proactive with my health.

  • I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and kindness for the rest of my years.
