My story:

Hello, we are Sprout and Pea!

*We are spending time in a foster home locally

We are new arrivals at the shelter who are looking for a peaceful home where we can stay together as we continue to learn about the world around us and how to trust humans. We came from a large group of cats who had multiplied quickly and were able to be caught and taken on through a collaboration with other local animal rescue societies. Some of the cat crew were more socialised than others, but as the younger pair we have been the most brave and we are gaining confidence with humans each day at the shelter. The mom cats and suspected kitten daddy have been spayed and neutered to prevent any more litters and have stayed with their guardian who reached out for assistance.

We are a sibling duo and would prefer not to be separated as we find comfort and confidence with each other. We were visited by the vet for our first checkups and vaccine and were ever so brave. We would much prefer to be in a forever home or even a foster home as it is loud around here but we are enjoying spending time with our siblings in the cattery. We are shy and timid, but the staff and volunteers are spending time in our space during the day and letting us go at our own pace, allowing us to watch them from our hiding spots and check out the tasty treats on offer. We have started to trust humans and will come out and play with wand toys and love watching the world go by out of the windows. It's still early days, but we have made so much progress in the past couple of weeks. Adjusting to a new environment again might be scary but we can't wait to get settled into our new lives together, and hope our other siblings find homes soon too!

Bonded pairs and shyer cats can spend a long time at WAG whilst waiting for a home, if you can't adopt at this time, please consider donating towards their care or even providing a foster home for them whilst they wait! Ready to give this loving pair a second chance and show them all that life has to offer? The first step is to fill out an application form via our website today!

My purrrrfect match:

  • will be ready for a 10+ year commitment, with consideration of additional costs for two cats.

  • have lots of patience whilst we learn to feel comfortable with our new family.

  • someone who understands that we might not want to cuddle or be touched all the time.

  • will provide lots of enrichment, scratching towers, toys, catio etc.

  • will keep our health in mind and take us into the vet for yearly checkups.

  • will keep us safe and happy, forever.
