April also marks the 10th anniversary of Pan Pacific Village Centre’s partnership with WAG, with over $36,000 donated so far. This year they are boosting their ongoing support by purchasing four training harnesses for the shelter and sponsoring an advertisement in Pique Newspaper to find a fur-ever home for Cal, who has been in WAG’s care since April 2019.
You can read more about Cal HERE!

WAG defines Critical Care as any medical need or expense that goes beyond the routine deworming, vaccination, and spay-neuter protocol.
Wag currently has NINE Critical Care animals in our care!
It is highly likely that Gizmo was hit by a car. She suffered a broken pelvis and needed her leg amputated.
Stryker was brought to wag with a serious urinary blockage that required emergency surgery, treatment for a bladder infection, medication, and more…
Chilly needed a nail removal surgery, medication, and many bandage changes.
Jojo came to WAG with unmanaged diabetes and a bladder infection. He is now on daily insulin injections.
Billy has a condition where his eyelids turn in and irritate his eyes. He needs eye drops and surgery.
Also suffered from GI tract upset, he needed extra vet visits, medication, and specialty food.
Grace is a senior Burmese with gastrointestinal issues that we are currently investigating.
MJ is a senior Sphinx cat with special dietary needs and a sensitive GI tract.
A senior lady with a chronic upper respiratory infection, she needs ongoing care and medication.
THESE ANIMALS ARE ONLY RECEIVING THIS CARE THANKS TO THE GENEROUS DONATIONS FROM OUR COMMUNITY.
DONATE TO OUR CRITICAL CARE FUND AND HELP GIVE HOMELESS ANIMALS THE MEDICAL CARE THEY NEED!
Gizmo will need to have one leg amputated, and then be on strict rest to heal her shattered pelvis.
WAG is now fundraising for an amputation surgery, medication, hospitalization, aftercare, and everything else that Gizmo will need.
Gizmo is currently unable or unwilling to urinate on her own, which is still a concern, however, we are hopeful that as she heals, this will resolve.
Gizmo deserves this chance and you can help gift it to her by donating to WAG's Critical Care Fund by clicking the button below!
WAG was called late Thursday night about a dog who desperately needed our help.
She was found on her doorstep crying, bloody, and unable to walk, and no one saw what happened...
From the extent of her injuries and road rash, it is suspected she was hit by a car.
Her radiographs show that she has a shattered femur and pelvis.
Due to the extent of her injuries, she now needs major and immediate medical intervention...
GIZMO NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Each year, Whistler local paper, The Pique, runs a vote for the community's favorite organizations, businesses, volunteers, and citizens, and 'Whistler's Favorite Non-Profit' is a category that WAG has been honored to win for the past six years.
WAG's dedicated volunteer and board member, Denise Wood, is also a repeat winner as 'Whistler's Favorite Volunteer".
We are so proud of this accomplishment and thank the community for all their love and support!

2021 ended on a sad note when the world learned of the passing of Betty White, a Hollywood legend and former star of the hit show, The Golden Girls. She was 99 years old and passed away shortly before her 100th birthday.
A long-time animal lover, her 100th birthday became a day to donate to your favorite animal rescue group, and WAG was lucky enough to be the charitable recipient for a fundraiser hosted by the Raven Room here in Whistler, in partnership with Tito's Vodka!
Serving her three favorite foods (hot dogs, french fries, and vodka!), our community celebrated her in style all while supporting the animals she loved so much.
The Raven Room raised $760 and Tio's Vodka generously matched that donation for a grand total of $1520!
The donations to WAG that day came from far and wide, and we also received $5796 in honor of Betty White and her 100th birthday - we were absolutely blown away by the love and support for this legendary woman and for WAG.
THANK YOU to all our donors and supporters, and to the Raven Room and Tito's Vodka...We can't wait until next year!
