JUNIPER

Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Gender: Female
Age: Born April 2023
Size: Small, but growing

Energy Level: Kitten energy! Big bursts of play with long periods of naps!
Litter trained? Working on it!
Kids? Has previously lived with kids, but would prefer calm kids.
Cats? Has never lived with other animals, so an adjustment period would be expected. Use of separation, supervision, socialization and time necessary to set animals up for success!
Dogs? Has never lived with other animals, so an adjustment period would be expected. Use of separation, supervision, socialization and time necessary to set animals up for success!
Medical Needs: Moving forward finishing the first round of vaccinations as well as yearly check ups!

About Me:

Hi, I'm Juniper!

I can be a rambunctious little girl! I like visits from friends new and old, as long as you like to play. I like pets but am rarely still for long - I do love to explore the cattery and show off my climbing skills. I will start to purr immediately when you pick me up and give me attention, I am soooo sweet.

I can be gentle, but sometimes I'm a little cheeky and like to be a little rough, sometimes I get confused during play and think your hands are toys! I will need time, patience and kindness while I learn that being rough during play is not okay.

The love, warmth, food, water, and cozy beds they have given me make me feel happy and I am becoming so brave.  There’s been a lot of changes in my life recently and I would very much like to be adopted by people who understand that time and patience, combined with love and respect is very important for me.

My Purrrfect Match

  • will be ready for a 15+ year commitment!
  • have lots of patience while I learn to feel comfortable with my new family.
  • someone who understands that I might not want to cuddle or be touched all the time.
  • will provide lots of enrichment, scratching towers, toys, catio etc.
  • will keep my health in mind and take me into the vet for yearly checkups.
  • understand that I am still developing and my personality may change over time!
  • will keep me safe and happy, forever.

My Story:

My first family was no longer able to provide me the home I needed. As loving as they were, I am looking for a calm home environment, and an understanding one, as I'm just a baby and have lots to learn.

Energy Level: Low/Medium
Training Goals: Basic Manners + Learning to live in a more urban environment
House trained? Yes
Kids? 15 years+

About Me:

Hi I'm Carla!

I came from a very loving home, where a very unfortunate situation forced me to be surrendered to WAG. I am absolutely heartbroken to be away from my family.

I love when I see my friends, I get really happy and come right up to you to get a treat or a pat!

Sometimes when we're out in the yard, I crave affection way more than playing with toys.

Meeting the vet for the first time made me a little nervous, but with lots of breaks, and treats they made me feel more comfortable.

I love to ride in the car, and do well with other dogs! I have been around children in the past and have been great.

I am happy to see people and am learning to enjoy wearing a harness to go out on walks, but at the same time can also be very nervous. I will thrive in a calm, nurturing environment with people that will pay attention to any signs of anxiety I may show.

In my past home I lived with 2 other dogs, Buddy being one. I met one of the boys at the shelter Cal and loved him too!

I'm being very polite while living at the shelter, but I'd much prefer a loving home that will spend time with me.

I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and adventure for the rest of my years. A little bit of training with my new family would also be beneficial to all of us. I can't wait to find my forever home.

My Perfect Match:

-Is willing to take a few trips to WAG to get to know me before taking me home. I am fearful of strangers when I first meet them.
- A family with patience
- Understanding that a lot of things are new to me, I may need time to adjust to my new surrounding
- Be proactive with my training, using a WAG approved trainer that will help me gain confidence and give my family the
tools they will need when I come across something that is scary to me
-Having a safe & secured yard would be a bonus for morning zoomies! If not, being okay with using a long line to allow freedom but keep me safe.
-Will love me forever no matter what, quirks and all!

My Story:
